Donald Hayes, Jr.

Donald Lawrence “Larry” Hayes, Jr., 67, died on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at his home in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on November 16, 1950 in Carrollton, KY, the son of the late Donald Lawrence “Doll Baby” Hayes and Joan Conway Hayes of Middletown, KY.  He was retired from Carrollton Utilities as a Gas Line Inspector.  He had served his Country in the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time.

He will be missed by his wife, Sallie Vaughn Hayes of Carrollton, KY, his mother Joan Conway Hayes of Middletown, KY, a daughter, Laura (Corey) Groseclose of Carrollton, KY, three sons, Timothy Wayne Hayes of Carrollton, KY, Anthony Lewis Holzknecht of Carrollton, KY, and Douglas Lee Brockman of Oyster Creek, TX, a sister, Nancy Barrier of Lexington, KY, five grandchildren and one great grandchild survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lawrence “Doll Baby” Hayes.
