Adam Ray Clifton

  Adam Ray Clifton, age 44, a devoted son, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 5, 2023, in Burlington, Boone County, Kentucky. He was born on October 12, 1979, in his hometown of Carrollton. Adam's departure has left a void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

  He graduated from Carroll County High School in 1999. This chapter of his life laid the foundation for the person he would become—a hardworking individual with a passionate spirit.

  Adam dedicated himself to his career, working in the shipping department of Amazon. Adam's kind and friendly nature brightened the lives of those around him, leaving a lasting impact on both colleagues and friends.

  Outside of work, Adam indulged in two great passions—reading and art. 

 Though we mourn Adam's untimely passing, we also celebrate his life—a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to those he held dear. He leaves behind an irreplaceable mark etched upon our souls.

 He is survived by his father, Dennis R. Clifton, and mother, Janet S. Clifton, both of Union, KY; maternal grandmother, Norma Jean Owen of Ghent, KY; sister Gretchen Lynn (Chris) Walker of Murray, KY; stepsister Melanie (Tim) Gayhart of Crittenden, KY; stepbrother Jay (Whitney) Louden of Orlando, FL; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

  Adam was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon L. Owen Clifton, on August 29, 1986.  His maternal grandfather Adrian Owen and paternal grandparents Leslie C. and Shirley M. Clifton, his maternal grandparents Harry and Cora Mae Shely.

 The Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Carrollton Wesleyan Church located at 216 3rd St., Carrollton, KY 41008. This will provide an opportunity for family members and friends to gather together to share memories and offer their condolences during this difficult time.  The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 1:00 PM. at the Carrollton Wesleyan Church.

 Adam Ray Clifton was a beautiful soul whose warmth touched the hearts of everyone he encountered. His memory will forever remain alive through the stories we share and the love we hold for him deep within our hearts.
