Alice Inda Craig Davis, 85, of Ghent, KY, died on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Baptist Health in Louisville, KY.
She was born on December 10, 1929 in Gallatin County, KY, the daughter of the late Albert Gallatin Craig and Jennie Lee Hance Craig.
She was a retired homemaker. She received her B.S. in Home Economics from the University of Kentucky in 1952. She had helped her husband, Johnny Davis with the former family business's, White Top Taxi Service, Tip Top Sanitation Service, Davis Grocery Store and the Davis and Craig Marathon Oil Distribution Company.
She was a member of the Ghent Christian Church, the Caby M. Froman Club, the Ghent Younger Woman's Club, the Polly Hawkins Craig Chapter of the D.A.R. and the Port William Historical Society.
She is survived by her two sons, John Craig (Linda) Davis of Carrollton, KY, and William Albert Davis of Ghent, KY, a daughter, Virginia Ann (Robert) McBurney of Williamstown, KY, a brother, Albert G. Craig of Burlington, KY, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnny Nelson Davis on February 27, 1992, two brothers, William Lee Craig and Virginius Craig.
