Allen Donald Tilley, 89, of Florence, KY, formerly of Carrollton, KY, died on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. He was born on June 23, 1926 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Forrest Tilley and Flora Jett Tilley. He was retired from Chrysler Motor Company in Dayton, OH, after 36 years of service as a Vehicle Assembler. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Florence Baptist Church of Mt Zion in Florence, KY. In his spare time he loved to dance, make bird calls and go for a walk. He is survived by his wife, Minnie Oak Tilley of Florence, KY,to whom he married on January 2, 1951 and shared 65 years of marriage with, , two sisters in-laws, Linda (Curt) Stangle & Nancy Ray, a brother in-law, Richard Clark, nieces, Pat (Ed) Taphorn and Joy (Ronnie) Roberts, and a nephew, Allen Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Clark on July 8, 1999.
