Alma Mahoney

Alma Mae Mahoney, 89, of Carrollton, KY, died on Friday, July 27, 2018 in Carrollton, KY.

She was born on November 1, 1928 in Perry Park, Owen County, KY,  to the late Alfred Mahoney and Ola Mae (Miller) Mahoney.  She had enjoyed being a housewife and a homemaker.  She had attended Remnant Baptist Church in Owenton, KY.  Some of her favorite activities included playing bingo, flower gardening, sewing, crocheting and she loved dancing to country music.  She especially loved all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be missed by her five daughters, Cuba Jewell (James) Palmer of Gratz, KY, Bonnie (Chester) Smith of Lockport, KY, Charlene (Terry) Emery of Carrollton, KY, Rita (Bill) Snow of Carrollton, KY, Brenda (Terry) Smith of Pleasureville, KY, a son, William (Rebecca) Mahoney of Turners Station, KY, a grandson that she raised, Eddie Dixon of Carrollton, KY, a brother, Coleman Mahoney of Worthville, KY, twelve grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charlie Mahoney, four sons, Joseph Bernard Strange, Carl Ray Mahoney, Richard Mahoney and Terry Lee Mahoney, two sisters, Allene Lee and Mildred Mahoney, four brothers, Lloyd B. Mahoney, Charles Mahoney, George L. Mahoney and John B. “Nobe” Mahoney and three grandchildren.
