Barry Brown

Barry Landis Brown, 76, of Carrollton, KY., died on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at his residence in Carrollton.

Mr. Brown was born on June 1, 1935 in Clyde, OH., the son of the late Wayne Ebert Brown and Cecile Steinberg Brown. He was former owner of Warsaw Furniture Manufacturing and owner of LAN-CAY Inc. in Carrollton.

He received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Ohio State University. He was a former member of the Carrollton Planning and Zoning Commission. He had formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Sparta Bank. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force having been honorably discharged on the May 30, 1963.

He will be missed by his wife, Patricia Cayton Brown, his daughter, Beth Ann Wallace of Warsaw, KY., his son's, Barry L. Brown, Jr. of Warsaw, KY., Bradley W. Brown of Hebron, KY., Brent E. Brown of Warsaw, KY., Bruce A. Brown of Warsaw, KY., his brother, Ronald B. Brown, M.D. of Virginia Beach, VA., fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Mass was on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 12:15 P.M. at the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton with the Rev. Kavungal Davy officiating the Memorial Mass. Interment of the Cremains was in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Warsaw, KY.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to any one of the following places, St. John Community Outreach, St. John Catholic Church, Hospice of the Bluegrass, American Diabetes Association or St. Joseph Catholic Church in Warsaw, KY.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangments.
