Bertha Imel, 80, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Community East Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
She was born on February 26, 1931 in LaGrange, Oldham County, KY., the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Lemora Simms Coghill. She was retired from the RCA Corporation in Indianapolis after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church of Mercy in Indianapolis.
She is survived by a daughter, Lois Prater of Boston, MA., two sons, Don Imel and Jessie Imel of Indianapolis, IN., a sister, Betty Robbins and a brother, Walter Coghill, Jr., both of Carrollton, KY. Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Michael & David Imel, two sisters, Lucy Mae Pennington and Ruby Pearl Coghill, brothers, Paul J., Jimmy, John Fred, Dale, Forrest and George Roy Coghill.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Lipe officiating the services. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
