Bess Lawrence

Bess Ashby Lawrence, 89, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her residence in Carrollton, KY.

She was born on November 25, 1926 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY the daughter of the late John Everston Ashby and Lucille (McKay) Ashby. She was retired from the General Butler State Park and Resort in Carrollton as a front desk clerk. She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton.

She is survived by two daughters, Kelly A. Lawrence and Kim L. Lawrence, both of Carrollton, KY, a son, Robert E. Lawrence, II. of Newport, KY, five grandchildren, Katie Lawrence of Carrollton, KY, Megan Lawrence of Murray, KY, Robert E. Lawrence, III. of Covington, KY, Nicholas W. Lawrence of Erlanger, KY, and Abigail K. Lawrence of Covington, KY.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert E. Lawrence, five sisters, Lucille Long, Margaret Jeffries, Anna Bell Wiley, Louise Pyles and Jane Ashby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to the St. John Catholic Church or the Carroll County Animal Support in care of the funeral home.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Visitation

Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton.

Funeral

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Allan Frederick officiating the service at the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton.

Interment

Burial will be in the Lawrence Family Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.
