Bessie Lee Lucas, 94, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.
Mrs. Lucas was born on May 15, 1916 in Edmondson County, KY., the daughter of the late Columbus Bradford Allen and Emma Francis Pickett Allen. She was a Housewife and of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include two son's; Harold David Lucas of Cincinnati, OH., and Thomas J. Lucas of Carrollton, KY., six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Gayle Lucas, three sons; Richard W., Larry and Gary Lucas, four sisters;Maggie Harlow, Laura Stewart, Cora Duvall & Mary Hughes and one brother; Lou Orville Allen.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Delaney offciating the service. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Worthville Cemetery in Worthville, KY.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark A. Lucas, Mike W. "Michael" Lucas, Lonnie Platt, Jack Dermon, Lucas D. Platt, Dwight David Lucas and Evan Dermon.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
