Bessie Raleigh

Bessie Marie Raleigh, 79, of Carrollton, KY, died on Monday, October 15, 2018 in Carrollton, KY.

She was born on September 7, 1939 in Estill County, KY, the daughter of the late James Henry Clem and Dorothy Meanes Clem.  She had spent much of her life as a housewife and homemaker.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Watts of Carrollton, KY, and Judy Martineac of  Taylor, MI, two sons, James Russell Chism, Jr. of Cumming, GA, and Michael Lee Chism of Okeechobee FL, twelve grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Brown Raleigh, two sisters and four brothers.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Winchester Cemetery in the Woodlawn Section of the  cemetery in Winchester, KY.  A Memorial Dinner will follow at the El Bethel United Methodist Church on Trapp Goffs Corner Road in Winchester, KY.
