Betty Taylor

Betty Rachel Simmons Taylor, 74, of Carrollton, Carroll County, KY., died on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY. She was born in Carroll County, KY., on November 12, 1938 the daughter of the late Chester R. Simmons and Virginia Breeden Simmons. Mrs. Taylor was retired from the former Dayton-Walther Corporation in Carrollton as a factory worker. She had also worked at the former S&W Greenhouse in Carrollton and she also had worked with the Elderly providing care for them. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Maiden of Carrollton, KY., a sister, Wanda Bergman of Worthville, KY., two brothers, Robert Simmons of Worthville, KY., and Tommy Simmons of Ghent, KY., two grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louise "Sonny" Taylor in 1987, her son, Pat Meadows in 1981, a sister, Bonnie Cook, three brothers, Donald, Jimmy and Everett Simmons. Funeral Services were on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Scherer officiating the service. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
