Betty Jean Hackett Tomlinson, age 87, of Batesville, IN, formerly of Worthville, KY died Friday, July 8, 2016 at St. Andrew's Health Campus in Batesville, IN. She was born in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY on March 11, 1929 to Hubert and Ethel Richmond Hackett. Betty was a member of the Worthville Baptist Church. She was a retired Nurse's Aid from the Carroll County Memorial Hospital and also did private duty nursing care, enjoyed crocheting and playing cards.
Her survivors include: two daughters, Nancy A. Gassman of Forreston, IL and Patti Glover of Jamestown, KY, a son, Hugh Tomlinson of Guilford, IN, a step-son, Larry Tomlinson of Carrollton, KY and a brother, Hubert Hackett, Jr. of Carrollton, KY. There are six grandchildren, one step-grandchild and ten great grandchildren also surviving. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lester Tomlinson in 2001, a sister, Joan Hackett Young and a brother, Carroll Hackett.
