Billy Raisor

Billy Joe Raisor, 88, of Sanders, KY, died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at his residence in Sanders, KY.

He was born on April 14, 1931 in Sanders, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Luther and Kathryn Lewis Raisor.  He had farmed all of his life and was vital in seeing the family farm grow in size, now in its 5th generation.  He loved to ride his tractor when ever he could and spending time with his grandchildren.  He loved to build barns and fences.

He was a member of the Whites Run Baptist Church and he had also been a member and Elder of the former Whites Run Christian Church.  He and his late wife Julia had been very active in the Happy Hills Christian Camp for many years.

He will be missed by his son, Joe Carroll (Wanda) Raisor of Sanders, KY, a daughter, Cindy (Greg) Raisor Mears of Carolina Beach, NC, a sister, Julia Raisor Stewart of Louisville, KY, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Julia (Wilson) Raisor on January 1, 2019.
