Bobby Lee Thompson, 80, died on Monday morning, December 6, 2010 at the Thompson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, KY.
He was born on August 15, 1930 in Owen County, KY., the son of the late John Will Thompson and Roberta Perry Thomspon. He was a retired truck driver and had served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his daughter; Rhonda Fortney of Lwrenceburg, KY and one sister; Carol T. Karutz of Lexington, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Dorothy Jean Thompson and one sister; Betty Lou Thompson.
Funeral Services were on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with burial following the service in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
Arrangements were entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
