Carol Lee Sachleben, a devoted mother and housewife, passed away peacefully at her home on February 8, 2025, in Sanders, Carroll County, Kentucky. Born on August 3, 1948, in Carrollton, Carroll County, she lived a life full of hard work, love, and cherished moments.

Throughout her life, Carol dedicated herself to her family and her home. She was married to her  husband, Calvin Sachleben, since 1982. Together, they created a loving family environment, filled with laughter and support. Carol was proud of her daughters, Laura A. Layton,  and Amy C. Sachleben, and step-daughter, Lynnette Blessinger , all of Sanders, Ky. She also took immense joy in being a mother to her sons, Alfred S. Davis of Sanders, KY, Jamie L. (Angie Wright) Sachleben of Carrollton, KY, Jessie L. (Shelby) Sachleben of Bedford, KY, and Jason L. Sachleben of Sanders, KY.

In addition to her immediate family, Carol treasured her siblings, including her sister, Betty Ann McGlennen of Worthville, KY., and her brothers, Eugene McCormick, Jerry McCormick, and Roger McCormick of Sanders, KY. She shared a special bond with her sisters-in-law, Tammy (Kyle) Weaver of Rising Sun, IN  and Truena Reed of Madison, IN, as well as her brother-in-law, Wayne Sachleben of Bedford, KY.

Carol's legacy extends to her numerous grandchildren—Michelle, Carrie Beth, Alfred Jr., Josh, Eric, Ashley, Dustin, Emily, Zach, Destiny, Hannah, Katlynn, Dylan, Natalee, Hunter, Keyleigh, and Harlei—and great-grandchildren, Jay, Dellie, Abby, and Rose, who will carry her memory forward.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jesse Howard McCormick and Helen Marie McIntyre McCormick, her sister, Judy Marlene Stacy, and her brother, Raymond McCormick. Additionally, she mourned the loss of her infant siblings, Jimmy and Georgie.

Carol found joy in simple pleasures, often spending her time on Facebook, playing Candy Crush, or watching her favorite shows, including Rifleman, Gunsmoke, and films starring John Wayne. Her warm spirit and delightful sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation for Carol will be held on February 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, located at 809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, KY 41008. The funeral service will follow that same day, beginning at 6:00 PM.

As we remember Carol Lee Sachleben, let us celebrate her life filled with love, family, and joy, and find comfort in the memories she leaves behind.
