Carolyn's commitment to her community extended far beyond her professional endeavors. She began and organized "A Christmas Carroll" in Carrollton, fostering a sense of unity and celebration within the town. Throughout her life, she held various leadership roles, serving as President of the Carrollton Downtown Retail Merchants Association, a member of St. John Catholic Church where she served as Past Chairman of St. John Catholic Church Parish Council, and Secretary of the Carrollton Urban Forestry Commission. Carolyn was also a devoted volunteer with the Carroll County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, embodying the spirit of service in everything she did. Her dedication to her community earned her the honorary title of Kentucky Colonel. Carolyn had also been named as a Goodwill Ambassador of the City of Carrollton for seven years of dedicated service to the "Shop With A Cop" program.
Family meant everything to Carolyn. She is survived by her cherished daughters, Susan (Scott) Martin of Ashland, KY, and JoLynn (Jeff) Johnston of Napoleon, KY; her loving sons, John R. Glauber of Carrollton, KY, and David (Lea) Glauber of Mt. Washington, KY; her brothers, J.O. Powers of Owenton, KY, and Fred J.
