Cecil H. VanDiver, 72, of Carrollton, KY, died on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison, IN.
He was born on October 7, 1946 in Harrodsburg, Mercer County, KY, the son of the late Cecil Raymond VanDiver and Ruby Marie Hawkins VanDiver. He had received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and Industrial Technology from Eastern Kentucky University and retired from Kentucky Utilities as a Results Coordinator. He was one of the original founders of the Christian Academy of Carrollton and had served on the Board. He was one of the original founders of the Carroll County Ambulance Service. He was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of the New Castle Christian Church and had served as a Elder for many years.
He had served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He will be missed by his wife, Marie VanDiver of Carrollton, KY, a brother, Robert “Bob” Eugene VanDiver of Burgin, KY, a sister, Betty Jean VanDiver also of Burgin, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
