Charles Marshall

Charles William "Charlie Bill" Marshall, 86, of Sanders, KY., died on Tuesday evening, April 27, 2010 at the Green Valley Health & Rahab. Center in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on August 30, 1923 in English, Carroll County, KY., the son of the late Benjamin Martin Marshall and Essica Meadows Marshall. Charlie Bill as most people knew him was a retired farmer and a former insurance agent for Galltin County Fire, Wind and Lightening Insurance Company located in Warsaw, KY. He was also a former School Bus Driver for Carroll County School System. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a former member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge in Ghent, KY.

He will be missed by a daughter; Donna Charlene Marshall of Sanders, KY., a son; W.M. "Marty" Marshall of Carrollton, KY., five sisters; Eula Robertson of Carrollton, KY., Dona Wells of Carrollton, KY., Joyce Boggs of Cincinnati, OH., Judy Keith of Sanders, KY., and Jean Schirmer of Ghent, KY., a brother; Robert Marshall of Louisville, KY., along with two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Precededing him in death was his parents, his wife; Virginia Rose Marshall on July 1, 2000, one sister; Dortha Parker and one brother; Benjamin Richard "Dick" Marhsall.

Funeral Services were held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Montgomery officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.

Memorial Gifts may take the form of contributions to the: American Diabetes Foundation, The Alzheimers Association or the Carroll County Relay for Life in care of the funeral home.
