Charles Curtis Morgan, 77, of Carrollton, KY., died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.
He was born December 4, 1929, in Switzerland County, IN., the son of the late Herbert and Florence (Woods) Morgan. Charles was a retired farmer and a member of the Worthville Baptist Church in Worthville, KY. Charles was a former Ham Radio Operator and a former School Bus Driver for the Carroll County School System. He was an inventor and loved watching Ma & Pa Kettle Movies. Charles especially loved spending time with his granddaughters, having saturday night pizza parties and playing Monopoly.
Survivors include his wife; Sue Carolyn (Johnson) Morgan, to whom he married June 23, 1951; two sons and their wives; Dan and Christy Morgan of Vevay, IN., and David and Cathy Morgan of Bedford, KY; six grandchildren; Nicki (Morgan) Beckham and her husband Jason Beckham, of Ghent, KY; Danna Morgan, of Vevay, IN., Lacy (Morgan) Brawner and her husband Matt Brawner, of Carrollton, KY; Sarah Morgan, of Vevay, IN; Lauren and Logan Morgan,both of Bedford, KY.
Charles is also survived by his former daughter-in-law, Sue Courtney of Carrollton, KY; brother-in-law Jerry Johnson and his wife, Vonda of Worthville, KY; and great nephews Brandon and Justin Johnson of Worthville, KY.
Also surviving are Charles' sisters Rebecca (Morgan) Tull and her husband Robert Tull of Madison, IN; Verna (Morgan) Mann of Lexington, KY; and Rosetta (Morgan) Cox of Campbellsburg, KY. Two half-brothers, Rodney and Earl Morgan of Henry County, KY; and two half-sisters, Thelma amd Anita.
Preceding Charles in death were his parents; one brother, Roger Morgan, and one sister, Catherine (Morgan) Southward; and one half-brother, Edward Morgan.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Bro. Mike Barnes and Rev. Pat Butcher officiating the funeral service. Burial followed in the Worthville Cemetery.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
