Charles Perry

Charles Extra Perry, 74, of Carrollton, KY., died on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on September 27, 1936 the son of the late Ray and Magnolia G. Proctor Perry. Mr. Perry was retired from Townsend Tree Service in Muncie, IN., and he was also a former supervisor at Swifty Gas Station in Carrollton. He was a member of the Cove Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter; Debbie A. Couch of Carrollton, KY., two sisters; Harriett Johnson and Maggie Burgin both of Carrollton, KY., a grand daughter; Amanda Cayton Sowell of Leakesville, MS., and one great great grandchild; Kelan Sowell of Leakesville, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Virginia Nell Perry in 2004 and two infant brothers.

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Kindoll officiating the service. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the English Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Sowell, John Proctor, Jimmy Burgin, Bill Proctor, John Penn and Donnie Ball. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy and Mike Couch.

Memorial Gifts may be given to the Cove Hill Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
