Charlotte Newby

Charlotte Faye Newby, 73, of Carrollton, KY., died on Monday morning, November 1, 2010 at her home in Carrollton.

She was born in Irvine, Estill County, KY., on November 18, 1936 the daughter of the late Charles and Dora Powell Riddle. She was retired after 17 years as a cook at the Bedford Nursing Center. She was a member of the American Legion Post #41 Woman's Auxiliary in Carrollton.

Survivors include her daughters; Janeen (David) Wise of Indiananapolis, IN., and Martha (Larry) Stockdale of Carrollton, KY., two son's; Joey Newby of Carrollton, KY., and Johnny Newby of Greenwood, IN., three sisters; Betty Rogers of Bardstown, KY., Geneva Edge of Bedford, KY., and Marilyn Gray of Milton, KY., three brothers; Robert Riddle of Bedford, KY., Jimmy Riddle of Prospect, KY., and Gene Riddle of Milton, KY., six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Bobby G. Newby and one grand daughter; Amanda Stockdale Walker.

Funeral Services were on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton. The Rev. Ferrill Davis and Rev. Pat Butcher officiated the service. Burial was in the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, KY.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be given to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of The Bluegrass in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
