Chonnie Marie McBurney, 62, of Sanders, KY., died on Thursday afternoon, May 7, 2009 at her residence in Sanders, KY.
She was born on February 23, 1947 in Long Branch, New Jersey, the daughter of the late William A. Lamberson and Gardenia Parker Lamberson. Chonnie was a homemaker and a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton.
Survivors include her husband; Jerry W. McBurney of Sanders, KY., three daughters; Melinda Jean McBurney of Carrollton, KY., Janice Marie Nagarkoti of India, and Brenda Mack of Shelbyville, KY., a son; Gerald W. McBurney of Owenton, KY., two sisters; Debra Lynn Fournier of Middletown, NJ., and Jeani Stephenson of Virginia Beach, VA., a brother; William Lamberson of Manchester, New Jersey and twelve grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The Rev. Rick Nickels officiated the funeral service on Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the J. Graham Brown Cancer in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements were entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
