Chris Stratton, 91, of Florence, KY, formerly of Carrollton, KY, and Lawrenceburg, KY, died on Monday, July 4, 2016 at Gallatin Nursing & Rehab. In Warsaw, KY.
She was born on April 5, 1925 in Anderson County, KY, the daughter of the late Leonard H. Sea and Cora Elizabeth Satterly Sea. She was a retired social worker for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She had also worked as a church secretary at First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg, KY. She was a former Telephone Operator for South Central Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg, KY. She was the past secretary of the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the Women's Club and the Homemakers Club of Lawrenceburg, KY, and Business and Professional Women's Club. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bridge.
She is survived by her daughter, Christy Anne (Jim) Stratton Skoog of Florence, KY, a son, Harry Michael (Shayne) Stratton of Lexington, KY, a brother, Stewart Lawson Sea of Lexington, KY, two grandchildren, Carrie Ann (Jimmy) Carter of Lexington, KY, and Matthew Morgan (Aimee) Sparrow of Louisville, KY, three great grandchildren, Christy Ann Carter, Macie Ann Sparrow and Amelia Morgan Sparrow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry Morgan Stratton on February 15, 2000, one brother, Leonard H. Sea, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the First Baptist Church of Carrollton or the Mosaic Church in Lexington, KY, in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 10:00 A.M.a�"2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.
Burial will take place in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, KY.
