Christopher Stout

January 1, 1976 — July 13, 2010

Christopher Todd Stout, 34, of Fayetteville,North Carolina, formerly of Worthville, Kentucky, died Wednesday, July 13, 2010 while on active duty as a Chaplain's Assistant in Afghanistan.

Chris was a faithful member of First Church of Fayetteville.

He joined the military in 1997 and has served in many assignments. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, one Army Commendation Medals with three Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal, three Army Good Conduct Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, two Afghanistan Campaign Medals with Bronze Service Stars, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal, the Combat Action Badge, the Parachute Rigger Badge, the Parachutist Badge, the Combat and Special Skills Badge Expert Marksmanship Qual Badge and the Overseas Service Bar.

Chris is survived and loved by his wife and soul mate of 9 years, Misty. Leaving a legacy for three beautiful daughters, Jacqueline, Audreanna and Kristin, parents Billy and Sharon Neuner, his brother Nathan Neuner and sister Diane Fisher.

He lived the Acts 2:38 message and with a passion for souls has impacted many. Now in heaven and rejoicing with friends and loved ones who have gone on before.

Chris lived, loved and gave his life for freedom, not just for this country but also for his God. Chris, you are greatly missed!

A Memorial Service will be at 6:00 P.M., Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Veterans War Memorial at the front entrance to General Butler State Park and Resort on Highway 227 in Carrollton.

Flowers are being accepted by the family or memorials may be made to First Church of Fayetteville, 2813 Cumberland Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306.

Funeral

Local Memorial Service - 6:00 P.M. - Friday - July 30, 2010 at the Veterans War Memorial General Butler State Park and Resort in Carrollton.

Interment

Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery - Spring Lake, NC.
