Clara Frances Rider, 88, of Warsaw, KY., died on Thursday afternoon after a long battle with cancer at the New Life Hospice of St. Joseph in Lorain, OH.
She was born in Glencoe, KY., the daughter of the late Irvin E. Stephenson and Bertha M. Wallick. Clara was a former Beautician, working from her shop at her home in Warsaw. She was a faithfull member of the Warsaw Christian Church for many years.
Clara will be missed by her daughter; Audrey R. Montgomery of Amherst, OH., who saw that her mother received her personal care up until her death. Other survivors include two sisters; Louise Roberts of Glencoe, KY., and Jo Eva Riddle of Warsaw, KY., and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Leroy Roberts, a daughter; Janette Sallea, sisters; Evelyn Stephenson, Ruby Daulton and Jessie Lee Luchte, and one brother; Andy Stephenson.
The Rev. Phil Case will conduct the funeral service on Monday at the Carlton - Lowder Funeral Home.
In Lieu of Flowers Memorial Gifts may be given to the New Life Hospice of St. Joseph. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Elmer Gene Riddle, Chester Montgomery, Monty Roberts, Joe Steele, Daryl Stephenson and Brent Stucker.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
