Clara Westrick

Clara Westrick, 81, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, KY.

She was born on July 19, 1929 in Carroll County, KY., the daughter of the late Richard Butler and Lena Shafer Taylor. She was a housewife and a farmer. In her early years she had worked for the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Cincinnati, OH., and after her marriage she worked for many years at the Kroger Grocery Company in Carrollton. She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton.

Survivors include her daughter, Rita Westrick of Carrollton, KY., and one son, Richard and his wife Lucy Westrick of Carrollton, KY., her sister, Mable Alexander of LaGrange, KY., two grandchildren, Jenine and Alex Westrick both of Carrollton, KY., and one great grandchild, Gaberil Westrick of Carrollton, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward "Bud" Westrick, Jr., a sister, Pearl Gardner and three brothers, Joseph B. Taylor, George R. Taylor and Charles A. Taylor.

Mass Of Christian Burial was on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton, KY. Burial will be in the St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
