Clarence E. "Cookie" Yocum,76, of Carrollton, KY., died on Tuesday morning at 5:27 A.M. at the Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY., the son of the late Earl and Gusta Chandler Yocum. "Cookie" as he was commonly known was a retired self-employed truck driver and a former school bus driver for the Carroll County School System for 15 years. He was a former Carroll County Constable and Methodist. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Air Force.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 51 1/2 years, Donna Wallace Yocum, a daughter; April McClellen of Carrollton, KY., two sons; Paul Yocum of Carrollton, KY., and James Yocum of Carrollton, KY., and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Elmer B., Ralph and Wilbur Yocum.
The Rev. James Stewart will officiate the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Josh, Clinton, Jordan, James D. and Todd Yocum and Cameron McClellen.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
