Clifford Simmons, 85, of Milton, Carroll County, KY, died on Wednesday at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, IN. Cliff was born in Milton, Carroll County, KY to Ora Everett and Martha Spillman Simmons who have preceded him in death. He was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church, a farmer and was the bookkeeper for Golden Burley Tobacco Warehouse in Carrollton, KY for over 45 years. He also served as a medic in the US Army during WWII.
Survivors include his dear wife - Patricia Jane Gossom Simmons, a daughter - Connie Webster of Carrollton, KY and a son - Steve Simmons of Bedford, KY, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a grandson - Clifford Ray Webster and two sisters - Lucille Bond and Lena Mitchell.
Funeral Services were held on July 13, 2013 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Ferrill Davis officaitng the service. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton. Memorial Gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
