Curtis Randall Crutcher

Curtis Randall Crutcher, a cherished soul born on May 30, 1954, in the heart of Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, has left this earthly realm to join his loved ones beyond the veil. He passed away quietly on January 6, 2025, in Berea, Madison County, KY, leaving behind a tapestry of memories that weaved through the lives of all who had the blessing to know him.

Curtis was a man of vibrant spirit. He thrived in the simple pleasures of life, often found riding his bicycle around the familiar paths of Carrollton, relishing the freedom it bestowed. He harbored a passion for vehicles that made a statement—firetrucks, police cars, and the robust machinery of big trucks captured his heart and imagination alike.  Curtis was always on the search for a good cup of coffee which he often found at the police station or county hospital.

Music was a constant companion to Curtis; he found joy in the timeless melodies of Elvis Presley, losing himself in the rhythms that danced through the air. His days were often graced by the action-packed adventures of "Walker - Texas Ranger" and the comical escapades of "The Dukes of Hazard," the stories weaving laughter into his life.

The void left by Curtis's passing is profound. He is survived by his two beloved brothers, Kelley D. (Claudia) Crutcher of Berea, KY, and Lonnie L. Crutcher of Radcliff, KY, alongside ten adoring nephews—Tim Crutcher, Tony Crutcher, Kevin Crutcher, Carey Crutcher, Shawn Green, James Green, Adam Raker, Jason Raker, Ben Crutcher, and Zachary Crutcher—who will ensure that his legacy lives on in their hearts. Several great nieces and nephews also survive.

In this life, Curtis faced loss with enduring grace, now reunited with those he missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Crutcher, Jr. and Mary Isabelle (Moore) Crutcher, and two sisters, Brenda Raker and Verla Green. Their spirits will welcome him with open arms, bringing solace to the ache of his absence.

Visitation will take place at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton on January 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on January 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating his life will follow on January 14 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

As we gather to honor Curtis Randall Crutcher, we will remember him not with tears alone, but with the music he loved, the streets he rode, and the family he cherished. His spirit abides in each of us—a steadfast reminder to savor life's small pleasures and hold our loved ones close.
