Curtis “Curt” Skirvin, 79, of Carrollton, KY, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 10, 2018.
Curtis was born on July 20, 1938 in Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Chester Skirvin and Emma Eves Skirvin. He had owned the well known Pink Palace in Carrollton for many years. Curtis was truly one of a kind, a man with a heart of gold and a contagious laugh! He was good man that loved the simple life. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, four-wheeling, drinking an ice cold beer and sharing his witty words of wisdom with his grandson, Dalton. There was nothing that Curtis loved more than spending time with his son Matthew and grandson Dalton. They enjoyed being outdoors, watching U.K. basketball and good old fashioned conversation.
He had served his country in the United States Navy.
Curtis will be dearly missed by his son, Matthew (Nichole) Skirvin of Fruitland Park, FL, a brother, David Skirvin of Inglish, FL, a grandson, Dalton Tyler Skirvin, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Charles Skirvin, a brother, Orville Brown Skirvin, and a sister, Lilly Katherine Skirvin.
The family would like for memorial gifts to go to Carroll County Parks and Rec. in lieu of flowers, in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
