Darrell Charlie Lloyd, 75, of Sanders, KY, died on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Signature Healthcare of Carrollton.
He was born on January 27, 1942 in Sparta, Gallatin County, KY, the son of the late William Howard Lloyd and Bobbie (Wyman) Turner. He had done mechanical work most of his life and had previously worked for Gene and Son’s Garage in Carrollton. He enjoyed hunting and John Deere Tractors. He was a member of the former Sanders Christian Church in Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Madge (Davis) Lloyd of Sanders, KY, a son, Darrell Wayne Lloyd of Sanders, KY, a daughter, Joyce Ann Armstrong of Sanders, KY, a sister, Mary Lou Robinson of Warsaw, KY, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Betty Lloyd and a sister, Lynn Francis Skirvin.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. David “Milkweed” Wotier officiating the service. Visitation will be on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery in Ghent, KY.
