Darrell Ray Williams, 45, of Carrollton, KY., died on Tuesday morning, November 30, 2010 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 8, 1965, in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the son of William Ray and Carolina Smith Williams. He was disabled and was a former cook for Long John Silvers Restaurant in Carrollton, KY. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife; Carrie Ann Sullivan Williams of Carrollton, his mother, Carolina Smith Williams of Carrollton, KY, two sons, Darrell Ray Williams, Jr. and Darren Lee Williams both of Indianapolis, IN, a step-son, Joshua Dean Short of Carrollton, KY, a step-daughter, Jessi Marie Short of Carrollton, KY, two sisters, Sheila O'Neal and Cindy Deaton both of Carrollton, KY, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother; Rodney Kevin Williams.
The Rev. Randy Doll officiated services on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton. Pallbearers were Steve Warren, Mark Howard, Marvin O'Neal, Tommy Deaton, Eric Burgess and Paul Beard.
