David Glenn "Gear Jammer" Cain  -  The Man, The Myth, The Legend

1958 - 2022

He left this town to split the breeze on The Streets of Gold on Saturday, October 8, 2022.

David was born on August 28, 1958, in La Grange, Oldham County, KY, the son of the late Elmer Lee "Big E" Cain and Dorothy Jean "Lucky Lady" Marlette Cain.  He formerly owned Cain Trucking Company in Carrollton, worked for Suburban Wrecker Service, Kemper Brothers Trucking Company and became a Terminal Agent Owner for P.G.T. Trucking, Inc since 2013, and was recipient of the Hobart Hill Award Agent of the year 2019 for P.G.T. Trucking, Inc...  David was an owner and partner of the NAPA Auto Parts Store in Shelbyville, KY.

He was a member of Family Worship Center in Carrollton.

David is survived by his wife, Cathy Lynn Coghill Cain of Carrollton, KY, four daughters, Mandi (Chad) Gnadinger of La Grange, KY, Christen (Tucker) Hamm of Avella, PA, Hilary Cain of Louisville, KY, and Hannah (Joe) West of Bedford, KY, a brother, Bobby (Debbie) Cain of Pompano Beach, FL, two sisters, Bonnie Jean Meadows of Bedford, KY, and Cathy (Greg) Fryman of Carrollton, KY.  His grandchildren were his pride and joy, Alexis "Allie" and her husband, Sam Kyser, Caitlynn, Caroline, Broden, Landon, Hailee Jo, Jaxon, Heidi, Annabelle, Millie and Josie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Davida Gwenn Cain, four brothers Arthur Lee Cain, Elmer Lee “Bubby” Cain, Jr, Robert Wright Cain and Billy Joe Cain and a sister, Janice Meadows.

We will gather together to honor this man so loved and admired by his family and friends on Saturday October 15, 2022.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M., with service to follow at Family Worship Center, 2520 KY 227/Across from Kroger Shopping Center, Carrollton, KY 41008.

He made a difference to everyone, deeply loved, and admired; we will miss him.

Please come, ride your motorcycles, drive your over the road truck, and come as you are, we welcome you.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
