Don A. Proctor, 47, of Carrollton, KY., died on Sunday, January 19, 2009 in an automobile accident near Carrollton, KY.
He was born in Carrollton, KY., on April 26, 1961 the son of William Ovid "Bill" Proctor of Carrollton, KY., and Minnie Alice (Law) Proctor also of Carrollton, KY. Don was a self-employed construction worker and a member of the Crossroads Church in Bedford, KY.
Other survivors beside his parents include his step-mother; Mable Proctor of Carrollton, KY., his companion of fourteen years; Mae Courtney of Carrollton, KY., Mae's children that he considered his children; Jennifer McMannis of Carrollton, KY., and Joseph Courtney of Carrollton, KY., three sisters Ruby Lorine Scott of Carrollton, KY., Teresa Proctor of Milton, KY., and Velma Pearl Bladen of Warsaw, KY., two brothers; Robert Proctor of Worthville, KY., and William Proctor, Jr. of Milton, KY., and six grandchildren.
Memorial Services were on Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Crossroads Church, 4835 Highway 421 North, Bedford, KY., with the Rev. Larry Franklin officiating the service. Cremation was chosen by the family.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
