Donald L. Mumphrey, 68, of Carrollton, KY., died on Sunday afternoon, May 1, 2011 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
He was born on October 13, 1942 in Owen County, KY., the son of the late Florian and Florence May Seniors Mumphrey. Mr. Mumphrey was retired from Arvin-Meritor Factory in Carrollton as a Machine Operator. He was a member of the Ghent 2nd Baptist Church.
He will be missed by his wife, Linda Stafford Mumphrey of Carrollton, two daughters, Sherri Hughes of Madison, IN., and Kim Benhoff and her husband Dale of Madison, IN., two sons, Ricky Kelsey of Carrollton and Terrence Mumphrey and his wife Brandy also of Carrollton, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Mumphrey was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Derwin Mumphrey, a brother, Florian Earl Mumphrey and one granddaughter, Erica Mumphrey.
Funeral Services were on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Potter officiating the service. Burial was in the Ghent 2nd Baptist Church Cemetery in Ghent, KY.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
