Donald Wright

Donald Ray Wright, 56 of Ghent, KY, died on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on March 10, 1965 in Carrollton, KY, the son of Laymon Earl Wright and Margaret Janie Pennington Wright of Turners Station, KY.  Donald had worked at the Kentucky Utilities Ghent Generating Station for over thirty years currently as a Maintenance Planner.  He was a member of the Port Royal Methodist Church, enjoyed collecting guns, vehicles and he enjoyed farming.

Donald will be missed by his wife, Sharon Faye Mertz Wright of Ghent, KY, his parents of Turners Station, KY, a son, Bryan Michael Wright of Ghent, KY, two daughters, Shannon Renee’ Wright of Florence, KY, and Lauren Danielle Wright of Owenton, KY, and a brother, Nicholas L. Wright of Turners Station, KY.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
