Donald Clay Yocum, 54, of Carrollton KY, died on Sunday evening May 19, 2019 at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville in Shelbyville, KY.
He was born on January 31, 1965 in Covington, Kenton County, KY, the son of the late Donald Ryan Yocum and Beverly June Smith Yocum. He was a 1984 graduate of Carroll County High School and was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church of Carrollton. He had served his Country honorably in the United States Marine Corp. He had formerly worked for Sabatossa Foods in Florence, KY as a bakery lead line supervisor.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the National Wild Turkey Foundation. He was a family man and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and enjoyed talking on the CB Radio using the handle "Carroll County Kid."
He will be missed by his wife Tracy Yvonne Eaves Yocum of Carrollton, KY, two daughters, Megan (Kyle) Perkins of Carrollton, KY, and Brittany Yocum of Florence, KY, two brothers, Michael Ryan Yocum of Lexington, KY, and Christopher James Yocum of New Salisbury, IN, three grandchildren, Grace Perkins, Winston Perkins and Bodhi Perkins, all of Carrollton, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father in 2004 and his mother in 1981 and a sister, Lisa Yocum.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
