Donald L. "Donnie" Carter, 63, of Carrollton, KY., died on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at his residence in Carrollton, KY.
He was born on April 1, 1945 in Carrollton, KY., the son of the late Roy and Mary Jane Brock Carter. He formerly served as a police officer for the Carrollton Police Department and as a deputy sherrif for the Carroll County Sherrif's Office and was a former member of the Kentucky Kruizers Car Club.
He is survived by one son, Richie L. Carter of Carrollton, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Paul Calvin "Buster" Carter and Bobby Carter.
Rev. Keith Mendenhall officiated services on Monday, February 16, 2009 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
