Donnie Ketterer

Donnie F. Ketterer, Sr., 73, of Ghent, KY, died on Monday, July 12, 2021, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on September 20, 1947, in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH, the son of the late Leo Frank Ketterer and Lula Hayes Ketterer.  He had worked early in his life as an auto mechanic and went on to serve his Country Honorably in the United States Army specializing as a Track Vehicle Mechanic, upon his honorable discharge, he held the rank of Sergeant.  After his military service he had worked as a farmer.  He was of the Baptist faith.

He will be missed by his wife, Mary R. Skirvin Ketterer of Ghent, KY, three sons, Donnie F. Ketterer, Jr. of Warsaw, KY, Lonnie F. Ketterer of Ghent, KY, and Jimmy J. Ketterer of Worthville, KY, three daughters, Denise Hearn of London, KY, Doris Proffitt of Lily, KY, and Tinna Dilts of Somerset, KY, a sister, Connie Ketterer of Cincinnati, OH, thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Justin Matthew Hearn and Levi Dilts.
