Dora Maiden

Dora Patton Maiden, 99, of the English Community of Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, died on Monday evening, April 8, 2013, at her residence.

She was born on June 27, 1913, in Rockcastle County, KY, the daughter of the late Andrew Patton and Ida McQueen Patton. She was a retired cook for Carroll County Schools. She was a member of the English Christian Church.

She is survived by her son, Richard Pat Maiden, of Glencoe, KY, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stoy Maiden, in 2000, a sister, Ruby Meadows Graham, four half-sisters, Mini Carpenter, Ruth Patton, Callie Felabaum and Clara Patton, six half-brothers, John Patton, Joe Patton, L.G. Patton, Shirley Patton, Marvin Lee Patton, and Paul Johnson.

Funeral Services were on Friday, April 12, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at the English Christian Church with the Rev. Keith Miller officiating the service. Burial was in the English Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the English Christian Church or the St. Elizabeth Hospice, in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
