Dorothy Baker

Dorothy M. "Dottie" Baker, 93, of Carrollton, KY., passed to her Heavenly Home on Friday evening, September 10, 2010 at the St. Mary's & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on February 2, 1917 the daughter of the late Howard Samuel and Mary Lida "Polly" Eaves. Dottie as most people knew her was a homemaker and had formerly attended Carrollton Christian Church.

She will be missed by her two daughters; Denise Lucas of Louisville, KY., and Bonnie Rogers of Chattanooga, TN., two grandchildren; Sarah Schaad of Louisville, KY., and Andrea Schaad Shingleton of Shelbyville, KY., along with four great grandchildren.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; George Thomas Baker in 2004, three sisters; Lelia Alliston, Edna Kelly and Marie Eaves, two brothers; Louis and James Carlisle "Buddy" Eaves.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Bolton officiating the service. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Monday at the fuenral home. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the WHAS Crusade for Children or the Masonic Homes of Kentucky in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. - Monday - September 13, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

1:00 P.M. - Tuesday - September 14, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Interment

I.O.O.F. Cemetery - Carrollton, KY.
