Dorothy King Courtney, 75, of Carrollton, KY., died on Sunday, February, 24, 2013 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.
She was born on August 15, 1937 in Gallatin County, KY., the daughter of the late Joe Bill King and Alene Davis King. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Carrollton Christian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Spence of Campbellsburg, KY., three sons, C.W. Courtney, Jr. of Carrollton, KY., Ernie Courtney of Turners Station, KY., and Ronnie Courtney of Carrollton, KY., a sister, Mary Bladen of Ghent, KY., three brothers, Donnie King of Ghent, KY., Ronnie King and Jimmy King both of Carrollton, KY., ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, C.W. Courtney, Sr. on October 7, 2010, four sisters, Rosie King, Debbie Hemingway, Lilliann King and Emma Sue King.
Funeral Services were on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Lipe officiating the service. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, KY.

Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
