Dorothy Shellhorn Wright

Dorothy Marie Shellhorn Wright, 91, died on Monday, January 16, 2012 at her home at New Horizon's Assisted Living in Carrollton, KY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Noon with the Rev. Kavungal Davy officiating the service at the St. John Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the St. John Catholic Church until service time. Burial will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH.

Mrs. Wright was born in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Ind. on December 10, 1920 to the late Katherine and John Shellhorn. She married Wallace "Bill" Wright on December 2, 1939 in Evansville and moved to Western Hills area of Cincinnati where she lived for the next 69 years. She moved to New Horizon's in Carrollton in January 2009. She was a housewife and mother. She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton.

Survivors include her two son, Donald (Joan) Wright of Perry Park, KY. and Wallace (Kathleen) Wright of Cincinnati; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great - great grandchild.

Her parents, her husband, Wallace "Bill" Wright; an infant daughter, Barbara Jean Wright; and a granddaughter, Sandra Wright Thurner preceded her in death.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
