Doshie Sanders

Doshie Eldridge Sanders, 83, of Carrollton, KY, died on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on August 18, 1933 in Providence, Trimble County, KY, the daughter of the late Noah V. Robbins and Georgia Ann Sharp Robbins. She and her husband owned Sanders Trucking in Carrollton. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton and of the Baptist faith.

In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing euchre. She really enjoyed sewing, having made curtains for many people throughout the area.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Leon Sanders of Carrollton, KY, a daughter, Patricia Ann “Treaty” McCormick Mefford of Carrollton, KY, two step-daughters, Pamela K. (Don) Polston of Fairland, IN, and Christina A. Abedes of South Port, IN, a step-son, Perry (Nancy) Sanders of Fairland, IN, a sister, Betty (Douglas) Bennett of Madison, IN, a brother, Tim (Linda) Robbins of Carrollton, KY, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah V. Robbins, who died in 1992 and Georgia Ann Sharp Robbins who died in 1944, a step-daughter, Paula Jo Adkins, a brother, Walter V. Robbins, Jr. and a granddaughter, Carolyn Sue Mefford, who died in 2005.

Burial will take place in the Campbellsburg Cemetery in Campbellsburg, KY.
