Douglas Kern

Douglas Wayne Kern, 66, of Ghent, KY, died on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at his home in Ghent, KY.

He was born on April 21, 1953 the son of the late Wilbert Richard Kern and Grace Alline Denny Kern in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH.  He had worked as a machinist most all his life for machine shops in Ohio.  He was of the Catholic faith.

He enjoyed Hunting and Fishing and making Cross’s out of metal.  He enjoyed taking scenic rides on his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife of Ghent, KY, his son; Douglas William Kern of Indiana, three daughters; Debbie and  Casey Kern of Ohio, and Karin Kern of Tennessee, two step-daughters; Amy Jones, Sharon Grubb and Cassie Grubb all of Cincinnati, OH, his sister; Peggy Kern of Cincinnati, OH,  several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has been chosen by the family with a private memorial service at a later date organized by the family.

Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
