Douglas Ritch

Douglas Wayne “Doug” Ritch, 62, of Warsaw, KY, died on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on February 4, 1960, in Madison, Jefferson County, IN, the son of the late John Claude “J.C.” Ritch and Leona Skirvin Ritch-Tilley.  Douglas was currently working for Tandy Trucking Company in Madison, IN.  Some of his favorite hobbies included carpentry, which allowed him to build his home and help others with construction projects, fishing, camping, and grilling out.  He attended the Relevant Church in Carrollton.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Ramona Lee Garrett Ritch of Warsaw, KY, to whom he married on April 14, 1979, two sons that he thought the world of, Joseph Thomas Ritch and William Albert Andrew Ritch both of Warsaw, KY, two brothers, Joe (Anita) Ritch of Aurora, IN, and Marvin Ritch of Madison, IN, five sisters, Doris Johns, Greenfield, IN, Rosalie (Mike) Geyman of Madison, IN, Stella (Keith) Kessler of Hanover, IN, Linda (James) Geyman of Madison, IN, and Dianna (Jerome) Smith of Columbus, IN, several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Claude “J.C.” Ritch on September 7, 1982, his mother, Leona Skirvin Ritch -Tilley on July 18, 2015, his stepfather, George Robert Tilley on November 18, 2009, and a sister, Mary Ellen Pease.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
