Douglas Simmons

Doug, age 70, was born in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky to Johnnie and Pauline Breeden Simmons. His father Johnnie preceded him death in 1994.

He retired from Rexnord in Madison, Indiana, was retired from farming and was most recently the custodian for the American Legion Post #9 in Madison, Indiana.

Survivors include his mother, Pauline Breeden Simmons of Carrollton, Kentucky, his wife, Anna Simmons, a daughter, Linda Simmons of Carrollton, Kentucky, three sons, Mark Simmons of Madison, Indiana, Tim Simmons of Milton, Kentucky, and Kevin Simmons of Carrollton, Kentucky. Also, two sisters, Thelma Ward of Carrollton, Kentucky and Minnie Louise Mitchell of Bedford, Kentucky and two brothers, Harold and Vernon Simmon, both of Carrollton, Kentucky and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Father and one brother, Carl D. Simmons.

Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Ken Webb.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
