Edward Humble
January 29, 1927 — November 24, 2010
Mr. Humble was born in Owen County on January 29, 1927 to Lafe and Lucy Lucas Humble who preceded him in death. He died on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard, KY.
He was a farmer and retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years service, serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the Baptist faith and the American Legion.
Survivors include: a son - Edward G. (Billie) Humble of Worthville, KY and a sister - Pauline (Bobby) New of Carrollton, KY.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, his wife - Lola Mae Stamper Humble, three brothers - Oscar, Joe and Johnny Humble.
Rev. Steven Scherer officiated the funeral services on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the Worthville Cemetery Military honors were provided by the American Legion Post #41 Honor Guard at the Cemetery.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
