Eldie Jay Lewellyn, 63, of Carrollton, KY., died on Saturday morning, February 20, 2010 at the Hospice Center of Northern Kentucky in Fort Thomas, KY.
Eldie was born in Carroll County, KY on June 29, 1946 to the late Eldie and Christine Moscoe Lewellyn. He was a member of the Carrollton Wesleyan Church, the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton, KY and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Eldie was retired from the Carrollton Utilities Company in Carrollton, KY.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Simmons Lewellyn, two sons, Brent "B.J." Lewellyn of Madison, IN and Chad D. Lewellyn of Florence, KY, four sisters, Ann Ballard of Carrollton, KY, Kathy Stevens of York, PA, Alice Bethel of Carrollton, KY and Sue Carol Kidwell of Florida, two brothers, Donald Lewellyn of Carrollton, KY and Charles Harrell of Carrollton, KY, and two grandchildren, Danielle Lewellyn and Jordan Lewellyn.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Betty J. Wallace and a brother, William Harold Lewellyn.
Serving as pallbearers were: Jimmy Supplee, Bobby Adams, Richard Garriott, Elmer Lewellyn, David Wallace and Bud Kemper.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan Haynes officiating the service. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Miliatary Honors presented by the Carrollton American Legion Post #41.
