Elizabeth Bailey Diuguid

Elizabeth Bailey Lineback Diuguid, 97, of Ghent, KY., died on Friday morning, October 31, 2006 at the New Horizons Assisted Living Center in Carrollton, KY.
She was born in Warsaw, Gallatin County, KY., on July 12, 1909, the daughter of the late William Bailey and Nancy (Gibson) Lineback. Elizabeth was a graduate of Centre College with a degree in English and History. She taught school in her early days working at the Steel's Bottom and Napolean School in Gallatin County, until she married Gex L. Diuguid and then became a homemaker. Elizabeth was President for over 50 years of the Caby M. Froman Club and a member of D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution0. She was one of the oldest members of the Carrollton Christian Church.
Survivors include her son; William G. Diuguid and his wife Sally of Ghent, KY., and one grandson; Gex Taylor Diuguid also of Ghent, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Gex L. Diuguid in October 2002, and her daughter; Nancy Elizabeth Diuguid in May 2003.
The Rev. Donald L. "Cyprian" Naftz and Rev. Amanda Hines will conduct the funeral services on Friday at the church.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
